I design experiences where people learn by doing. Where teams can get messy and experiment. Where learning is human.
I work with organisations to build a learning culture. In a rapidly changing environment, we need to be able to adapt and upskill. This requires a working culture where we are encouraged to experiment. Where we follow our what-ifs and learn from the outcomes, together.
Real transformation happens through connection, so that's where I start. In practice that's capability building and behaviour change, team dynamics and collaboration, feedback and reflection.
Most of us were more creative as kids. It's a skill we've systemically unlearned in getting older. I help teams find their way back to it.
I design programmes end-to-end: bootcamps, university curricula, blended learning, online courses, and train-the-trainer.
I work with groups of any size. From small team connection sessions to large conference rooms. From first-timers to seasoned facilitators.
I coach leaders, founders and teams who want a thinking partner: someone to bring clarity without killing the energy, ask the questions that matter, and move things forward. Coaching →

Co-designed and facilitated a series of 'Make-atons' in 2024 and 2025. These brought together transdisciplinary teams of researchers and practitioners to provide input for the new cross-government National Climate Adaptation Strategy. The process resulted in 15 adaptation pathways and a strategic advisory report.

Facilitated a reorganisation session with the executive board and senior staff of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Different departments moved from friction in direction and communication to alignment and a shared story.
I have a naturally curious and critical mind. My brain soaks up interesting facts and they burst out during conversations. I love a good meeting of minds, being challenged and inspired by the people I work with.
I help untangle big swirling ideas into something concrete.
For the past decade I've been designing learning experiences, facilitating teams, coaching one-to-one, leading programmes, and building communities. I've co-founded a coworking space where kindness meets business, co-created The Empathy Game (28,000+ copies sold, three languages), taught at university, and worked with organisations who want their people to think and work better together.

Jorik is amazing at supporting and enabling other people's creative journeys. He's a wonderful and generous cheerleader, seeing potential and opportunities in ideas beautifully.
Jorik's gift is to empower people to find deep, true connection — that they might not even know they needed. But once they have it, they realise just how much they needed it.
This is the most safe I felt in a space and workshop. Jorik really made me feel part of the group and helped me open up.
Tell me what you're working on, where it is now and where you want it to go. We'll see if we're a good fit.
Based in Amsterdam, working with people everywhere.
